The JCCSF Summer Camp is now hiring a Camp Office Coordinator for 2025!
Summer Camp at the JCCSF offers one-week to three-week sessions in both the traditional day camp and specialty camp settings for campers in grades K-8. Our classic day camps feature arts & crafts, STEAM projects, and sports. Specialty camps include visual arts, nature exploration, musical theater, science and more.
Summer Camp is in session June 2 - August 22.
The Camp Office Coordinator supports camp day-to-day logistics, camper experiences, camper interactions, staff scheduling, staff support, and administrative office tasks. As a member of the camp leadership team, the office coordinator is involved in organizing and implementing staff training.
The Camp Office Coordinator role requires administrative experience, a background working with customers, young children in a camp or school setting, experience in organizing schedules and logistics, multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Function as a front-of-office staff
- Help update attendance
- Help create schedules for staff and keep track of changes
- Support unit heads as needed
- Help to track camp activities, campers, and supplies
- Help plan and organize camp-specific exhibits and performances as needed
- Order supplies and track against budgets
- Assist in organizing camper pick-up process
- Model appropriate behavior for campers and staff
- Attend to ill campers and contact their families
- Record and file all incident reports and calls home to families
- Maintain the camp lost and found
- Prepare med bag contents and folders with assistance from camp Administrator
- Learn how to appropriately respond to crisis situations
- Create and keep track of staff schedules and schedule changes
- Keep track of med bags and room assignment changes
- Answer camp phone hotline
- Keep the office organized
- Assist with medication check-in
- Additional responsibilities as required
Requirements
- Highly organized with a strong professional demeanor
- Experience working with children 5-14 years old, preferably in a camp setting
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
- Knowledge of social media etiquette and excellent customer service skills
- Dedication to and enthusiasm for working in camp, informal education, and youth programs
- Knowledge of summer camps
- Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently
- Enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to improvise
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position works on-site at the JCCSF. Working conditions are typical of an office environment, with regular in-person contact with staff and program participants throughout the day.
Physical Requirements
Position requires seated or standing use of a computer throughout the day. Occasional lifting/moving of supplies and equipment, either with or without assistance.

37.5 hours from 6/2/25 - 8/22/2025
SCHEDULE
- Summer Hours including paid staff training and direct service hours:
- June 2, 2025 - August 22, 2025; 8:15 am - 4:15 pm, Monday - Friday
