Hours: Part-Time (10 hours a week)
Schedule: Some evenings, Sundays, and occasional Saturday nights during winter

- About Us: **Cockfosters & North Southgate Synagogue is a warm, dynamic, and forward-thinking community with close to 700 families. We are dedicated to creating meaningful Jewish experiences for all ages, and we are looking for a Youth Champion to engage and inspire our younger members.
- The Role: **We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and relatable leader who can connect with Gen Z and Gen Alpha in ways that are fun, meaningful, and relevant to their lives. Working closely with our Rabbinic couple and lay team, you will:
- Create exciting, informal Jewish experiences – social events, leadership programmes, and immersive activities that speak to how today’s young people connect with their identity.
- Engage through their world – using social media, digital content, and interactive programming to reach and inspire young Jews where they are.
- Support key youth initiatives – including the Duke of Edinburgh Award, youth volunteering, and community engagement projects.
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming space – making Jewish youth feel comfortable and excited about being part of their community.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with young people – in formal or informal settings.
- An understanding of Orthodox Judaism and how to present it in an engaging, relevant way.
- A creative, outgoing, and digitally savvy approach – able to connect with youth through social media, informal gatherings, and interactive programming.
- Passion for making Judaism meaningful for young people in a way that fits their world.
