Main Purpose Of Job
The Deputy Head of Summer Camp (Sgan) assists the Head of Camp (Rosh) in preparing and running camp programs, acts as a role model to leaders (madrichim), mentors them, and steps in to run activities when needed. The role includes running daily madrichim’s meetings, disciplining participants or madrichim, and ensuring the wellbeing of children at all times1.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Camp with preparing and running the camp programmes.
- Act as a role model to leaders (madrichim).
- Mentor and assist leaders with running day-to-day programs.
- Step in and run any activity in the event a leader is not available.
- Assist in running the daily madrichim’s meeting every night.
- Be the first port of call when disciplining participants or madrichim.
- Ensure the wellbeing of the children at all times1.
