Responsibilities Create a positive student-centered learning environment and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and encourages student engagement colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning that meet the needs of all learners Communicate clear learning targets & success criteria to students for all learning activities.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
- Develop formative and summative assessments in accordance with established procedures.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom to facilitate learning.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development as required by laws and school policies. Communicate consistently and in a timely manner with parents on their child’s academic and behavioral attitudes and achievements.
- Maintain safety & security of the students in the classroom and common school areas. Supervise students at various school functions such as field and overnight trips, school assemblies.
- Attend all parent teacher conferences, back to school nights, and faculty meetings.
- Supervise lunch and recess. Stay up-to-date on current educational trends and research to continually improve teaching practice.
- Facilitate office hours.
- Document lesson plans, assessments, and curriculum in Atlas.
- Post materials, assignments, and grades to the school's LMS (ehillel) in a timely manner.
- Other duties may be assigned.
