POSITION SUMMARY:
The Graphic & Digital Design Specialist is a creative production role responsible for designing visual content across print and digital platforms. Reporting to the Art Director, this position supports the Marketing & Communications team by developing branded materials, updating web content, and creating engaging graphics for email, social media, and events. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working across multiple formats and platforms. This role ensures the organization’s visual presence is consistent, compelling, and aligned with our mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Graphic Design & Visual Production
- Create visual assets for print and digital use within brand guidelines
- Adapt and update existing materials for various formats (e.g., flyers, newsletters, postcards)
- Design assets for external communications, Federation initiatives, and partner organizations such as Jewish Family Service
- Maintain organized asset libraries and file systems
- Coordinate with print vendors as needed
Web Design & Digital Content
- Update and maintain website content using CMS platforms
- Create web graphics, landing page visuals, and digital banners
- Support email layout and design
- Apply basic SEO and accessibility practices when possible
- UI/UX awareness or willingness to learn is a plus
Multimedia Support (Preferred)
- Assist with short-form video content for social media and events
- Create animated graphics for digital campaigns and event promotions
Collaboration & Project Support
- Work closely with the Art Director and MarCom team to meet visual communication needs
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners—including the Social Media Manager and Jewish Family Service account lead—on campaign deliverables and platform-specific visual assets
- Contribute to cross-departmental projects by designing visuals for events, initiatives, and communications
- Support production timelines, asset review processes, and vendor coordination
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in graphic and digital design, with a strong portfolio
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Experience with CMS platforms for basic web content editing
- Familiarity with email design and layout best practices
- Ability to design across multiple formats (print, digital, social, web)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn new platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing)
