The Soul Center is seeking a full-time Program Director to lead our dynamic program team and coordinate innovative offerings that guide individuals through life’s journeys with intention, connection, and spirituality.
About UsThe Soul Center is a vibrant hub for soulful living, rooted in Jewish tradition and open to all. Since our founding in 2016, we’ve grown exponentially—offering over 550 annual programs to nearly 20,000 participants. We are a proud initiative of Beth El Congregation, the largest Conservative synagogue in Baltimore, yet operate with our own spirit, vision, and independently-developed programming.
Led by Rabbi Dana Saroken-we focus on healing, mindfulness, rejuvenation, and personal growth through the lens of Jewish wisdom.
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:- Local to the Baltimore metropolitan area.
- Experienced in Jewish communal life—professionally or as a dedicated volunteer.
- Deeply grounded in Jewish knowledge, culture, and tradition.
- Passionate about spiritual and personal development, both within and beyond the Jewish world.
- Highly organized, with sharp attention to detail and a reputation for follow-through.
- A strong communicator and natural collaborator.
- Comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities with grace and positivity.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage the program team, ensuring smooth and impactful execution of all Soul Center events.
- Develop and coordinate programs aligned with our mission of bringing Jewish wisdom to everyday life.
- Work closely with lay leaders, staff, and community partners to design, plan, and implement high-quality offerings.
- Monitor and improve programs using data-driven evaluation methods.
- Manage program calendars, materials, communications, and logistics.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Prior team management experience.
- Demonstrated success in program management and community engagement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness and ability to learn tools such as Salesforce, website CMS platforms, social media, and data analytics software.
