SAIL JR PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Reports to: Senior Manager of Social Services & Billing, Disability Services Department
Primary Responsibilities: To develop, coordinate, and manage the SAIL Jr. (Supports to Achieve Independent Living) which provides adults with disabilities an opportunity for socialization, development of life skills and recreation activities.
Salary Range: $24 per hour for 7 hours a week
Specific Responsibilities
Handle inquiry phone calls relating to the SAIL JR program
Perform initial intake with potential participants and their families to determine appropriateness for the SAIL JR program
Plan and coordinate monthly SAIL JR activities.
Coordinate/produce monthly SAIL JR calendar mailings, with assistance of administrative staff
Assist with marketing the SAIL JR program (including website and Facebook pages)
Facilitates events
Coordinating the collection of yearly registration fees and event fees in cooperation with Disability Services Administrative staff
Handle issues and concerns of SAIL JR participants and their families
Represent SAIL JR program in the community, as needed
Perform other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the director of Disability Servicesfor the success of the program
Qualifications
Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) in psychology, sociology, counseling, or related field
Two years of supervisory experience in related field
Ability to interact with clients, families, and professional staff in a compassionate and professional manner
Valid driver's license, registration, insurance, and good driving record
Flexible, self-motivated and independent
