Part-Time, Seasonal Position
The Security Team Member will contribute to the vision, mission and values of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation by providing general security at the Logan campus and provide security support throughout the Youngstown Area Jewish Community with standards of excellence. Under the supervision of the Federation Security Director as well as the Wellness Director and Logan Pool Manager.
- Provide general campus security. Support other Logan staff when needed to help with any “disturbances”.
- Communicate/report any issues or “situations” to supervisor.
- Maintain a highly visible presence walking around, at a post or security checkpoint in the welcome area to prevent illegal or inappropriate actions throughout the facility and campus.
- Greet members and visitors and provide information and direction as needed. Be friendly, upbeat and positive while interacting with the members and staff.
- Monitor campus surveillance equipment to identify disturbances or illegal acts.
- Be knowledgeable about Logan rules/policies and emergency procedures and ready to help other Logan staff when needed.
- Conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous, kind and professional manner at all times.
Requirements
Should possess knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of a security team member including the ability to think and act quickly and interact effectively and tactfully with members of the public. Ideal candidate will possess the qualities of integrity, tact, initiative, and sound judgement while adhering to standards of excellence. Possess sound de-escalation skills and should possess basic life support certification.
