The Production Manager at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center is responsible for delivering a world-class experience for all cultural and performing arts patrons. This includes developing and managing production schedules, overseeing budgets, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The role involves managing theatre facilities, coordinating rentals, contracting arts overhire and talent, and handling maintenance and security needs. Additionally, the Production Manager hires and supervises technical staff, oversees production logistics, and provides reporting and data as needed.
The Mizel Arts and Culture Center is a 501 (c) 3 within JCC Denver that resides on the JCC main campus. Mizel Arts and Culture Center employees work for the JCC Denver and are benefits eligible.
Weekend and evening hours are required.
Role And Responsibilities
- Providing a world class experience for all Mizel Arts and Culture Center customers and patrons
- Ensuring JCC and Mizel Arts and Culture Center policies and procedures are followed
- Developing and managing production schedules (e.g. rehearsal, load in, production, load out)
- Assist Program Director in developing estimates, budget actuals and billing for internal and external users
- Oversee all theatre related budget items
- Manage maintenance, housekeeping, & security needs of the theatre facilities
- Work with Technical Director and Rental Coordinator to schedule all staff and security needs for rentals and in house productions
- Create and manage budgets for rental income and expenses
- Securing rights for mainstage productions
- Oversee all projects, troubleshooting, and personnel relation negotiations
- Hiring and supervising all technical personnel required for production including designers, directors, and interns
- Oversee budget distribution for contract staff salaries and materials
- Scheduling walk-thru/rehearsals necessary for events
- Coordinating technical activities with partner organizations and rentals
- Collaborate with JCC departments regarding programs, events, and operational needs

Physical Demands and Working Environment
While performing duties, the candidate is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time. This candidate will also use their hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Candidates must occasionally lift, team lift, and/or move upwards of one hundred (100) pounds.
