Description
This position is responsible for all duties assigned to them to include teaching, coaching, stringing, pro shop sales, maintenance of courts inside and out. Responsible for development and future growth of Junior Tennis Academy. Additional responsibilities include development of additional junior tennis programs.
Duties And Responsibilities
Program Development & Management:
- Design, implement, and evaluate JTA programs to support player progression and engagement.
- Develop structured lesson plans and training curriculums for different junior levels.
- Ensure program quality and consistency across all coaching sessions.
Coaching Coordination
- Recruit, train, and supervise JTA coaching staff.
- Maintain coaching standards and provide mentorship for skill development.
- Organize ongoing staff training to ensure up-to-date teaching methodologies.
Player Development
- Develop individualized and group training plans for junior players to enhance technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of their game.
- Track and assess player progress, providing regular feedback to players and parents.
- Promote competitive play by encouraging participation in tournaments and leagues.
Event & Competition Management
- Plan and execute JTA tournaments, junior leagues, and social tennis events.
- Organize travel arrangements for players participating in external competitions.
- Coordinate in-house league matches to provide match-play opportunities.
Parent & Community Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, addressing inquiries and providing program updates.
- Develop strong relationships with families to encourage long-term participation and retention.
- Organize informational sessions for parents about player development pathways.
Administrative Duties
- Manage program schedules, class registrations, and participant records.
- Monitor and maintain budgets for JTA programs and events.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility policies.
Program Evaluation-quality
- Assess the quality of our tennis program, ensuring it meets the needs and expectations of our members while reflecting the overall mission and goals of the club.
Participant Communication And Program Innovation
- Enhance member engagement at the tennis club through effective communication and innovative programming.
- Serve as the primary contact for participants, providing updates and gathering feedback, as well as developing and implementing new programs and events that cater to junior players and families.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure an inclusive environment and continuously improve the overall participant experience.
Qualifications
- 4-7 Years of experience in tennis/sports management with related educational background
- 4.5 and up NTRP
- College or Pro Tour Experience
- USPTA, PTR or ITF Certification
