JOB REQUIREMENTS: INTRODUCTION: The City of Racine\'s Forestry Division
in partnership with University of Wisconsin Madison Extension Racine
County are working towards in diversifying urban trees and increase
urban canopies in the city parks and private residential areas. This
project is funded through WI DNR\'s Urban Forestry Inflation Reduction
Act Grant. POSITION PURPOSE: Under the Supervision of the City Forester
and guidance of the Racine County\'s Horticulture Educator this position
will provide bilingual outreach education on urban tree planting &
maintenance and coordinate distribution of trees for underserved
homeowners in the City of Racine. Follow up with the homeowners on tree
planting survival and assistance to city tree planting & maintenance
projects are expected. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Identify, promote and maintain
external partnerships with diverse community members and organizations
promoting tree distribution and outreach education. Develop bilingual
outreach materials (flyers, brochures) on urban tree plantings, and
maintenance for underserved communities. Plan, coordinate and execute
tree distribution including registration, marketing and handling of tree
materials and supplies. Plan and coordinate training events on tree
planting and maintenance. Monitor and evaluate the distributed trees to
underserved communities. Provide support and assistance in City tree
planting and maintenance projects as needed. Communicates plans,
activities and achievements to the Horticulture Educator and City
Forester and provide written reports as needed. ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING
CONDITIONS: Indoor office and wide variety of outdoor environments.
Days, evening and weekend hours. EQUIPMENT USED: Telephone, Computer
with associated peripherals and software. EXPECTED WORK SCHEDULE: The
schedule will be determined after hiring. Applicants should be available
to attend meetings, community events and organize tree distribution
events during evenings and weekends. Job is no more than 20 hours per
week for a maximum 500 hours in total between July till December. This

H.S Diploma or equivalent. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Valid
driver\'s license. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Excellent
verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft
Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, Outlook), Google Drive and
Canva. Ability to work with little supervision and manage multiple
tasks. Self-motivated, strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrated
ability to build professional relationships. Willingness and ability to
