Principal Responsibilities:
The JCC is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to support the operations of the Youth, Teen & Family Department. While supporting all of the programs the department offers, the position will more heavily focus on our After School program and Birthday parties. This is a 40 hour per-week, overtime exempt position reporting to the Director of Youth, Teen & Family. The schedule is primarily Tuesday - Saturday and is subject to change.
Key Responsibilities
General
- Serve as an integral member of the Youth, Teen & Family team
- Work collaboratively as a team toward common goals
- Serve as a thought partner with team members
- Support department programs and organizational events
- Support operations of the department including but not limited to Vacation Days, Kids Night Out and special events
- Partner with team to conceptualize, program, and execute themed Vacation Days and Kids Night Out events
- Use agency software effectively including entering programs into CRM, managing registrations, processing program changes, reserving space, etc.
- Oversee department supply inventory, onsite supply closet and offsite storage
- Deliver excellent customer service to members, participants, parents and vendors
- Supervise Audio Visual setups for relevant programs
- Attend relevant staff meetings
- Serve in a key role (TBD) in Camp Yachad during the camp season
- All other relevant duties as assigned
After School Programming
- Support the program Director in all After School operations and administrative functions
- Represent After School in the absence of the program Director
- Manage equipment for daily programming, including setup and breakdown
- Manage After School food and catering needs, purchasing, distribution, and invoices
- Work with the program Director to:
- Coordinate daily bussing needs, schedules and attendance
- Implement daily program logistics and staffing
- Implement dynamic After School programming
- Manage comprehensive parent communication
- Attend and lead trainings when relevant
- Support NJ licensing compliance as needed
Birthday Parties
- Oversee and manage birthday party events at the JCC
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships to ensure successful parties
- Hire and supervise party assistant staff and vendors
- Respond to party inquiries in a timely fashion
- Review, approve, and submit vendor invoices for prompt payment of services
- Collaborate with the Marketing department to create materials designed to generate party revenue
- Strategize to implement new offerings for birthday parties
