Position Summary
The Community Impact Associate plays a key role in supporting the Jewish Federation of St. Louis’s efforts to strengthen and sustain a vibrant, inclusive Jewish community. This position works closely with the Community Impact team to coordinate programs, engage stakeholders, track impact, and assist with grantmaking, evaluation, and outreach. The Associate will contribute to planning, implementation, and administrative activities that help drive measurable outcomes and positive change.
Responsibilities
Program and Initiative Support
· Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of community programs, events, and learning opportunities.
· Help manage logistics, materials, and communications for initiatives related to Jewish education, human services, inclusion, leadership development, or Israel engagement.
· Serve as a liaison to community partners and grantees as needed.
Data and Grant Management
· Support grantmaking processes including application tracking, reporting, and impact evaluation.
· Maintain accurate data and documentation related to community programs and partner outcomes.
· Help prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
Community Engagement and Relationship Building
· Support outreach efforts to community members, organizations, and stakeholders.
· Participate in meetings with partners, coalitions, and committees to represent Federation’s role and priorities.
· Help coordinate community needs assessments and gather feedback to inform program design.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Work closely with other departments including Finance, Development, and Marketing to ensure aligned efforts and communications.
· Assist with Federation-wide initiatives and campaigns, contributing a community impact lens.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, social work, Jewish studies, public administration, education, or related field preferred.
· 2–4 years of experience in nonprofit, program, or community-based work.
· Strong organizational and project management skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
· Experience working with diverse communities and comfort with stakeholder engagement.
· Familiarity with data tracking, CRM systems, or grant management tools is a plus.
· Knowledge of Jewish communal life, values, and organizational structures is strongly preferred.
