About The Role
We’re seeking a warm, organized, and playful Lead Pre-K Teacher who believes young children learn best through hands-on, play-based experiences. You’ll create a joyful classroom that weaves in Jewish holidays, simple prayers, Hebrew words, and a spirit of Jewish life—while aligning with GELDS for Pre-K and partnering closely with families.
We welcome candidates of all cultural and faith backgrounds. If you’re curious and willing to learn, we provide training and ongoing coaching in Jewish culture and Judaism, including holidays, simple prayers, Hebrew vocabulary, values, and classroom rituals.
Why you’ll love working here: a warm, values-driven team with ongoing coaching and professional learning, a family-friendly schedule (half-day or full-time), and the chance to shape a joyful, play-based classroom within a supportive synagogue community.
About Etz Chaim Preschool
Etz Chaim Preschool provides a nurturing, play-based Jewish early childhood program where learning is meaningful, relevant, and often rooted in nature. As part of a Conservative synagogue community, the school integrates Shabbat and holiday celebrations—and values like Torah, mitzvot, tzedakah,
tikkun olam, and
kehilla (community)—into everyday routines. With a whole-child approach, children grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically in a warm, inclusive environment.
