The Temple (Hebrew Benevolent Congregation), located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, is Atlanta’s oldest synagogue and one of the most historic & vibrant Reform Jewish congregations in the United States. Position Summary
The Facilities and Accounts Payable Coordinator is a key member of The Temple’s administrative team, responsible for ensuring that the facilities, systems, and campus operations run smoothly and that financial obligations are met accurately and on time. This full-time role assists in overseeing the day-to-day maintenance needs of The Temple’s buildings and grounds, coordinates with vendors and contractors, manages accounts payable processes, and supports billing for select Temple programs.
The position requires a detail-oriented, proactive professional with strong organizational skills, financial accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, vendors, and congregants.
Responsibilities
· Coordinate daily maintenance needs of building, HVAC, plumbing, security, and landscaping.
· Serve as point of contact for vendors and contractors.
· Schedule and track inspections.
· Process weekly accounts payable (invoices, check requests, vendor records, 1099 compliance, etc.).
· Manage billing for the Weinberg Early Learning Center and B’nei Mitzvah Tutoring.
· Oversee office supply inventory and purchasing.
· Support event logistics, including High Holy Days and large programs.
· Assist with safety compliance, emergency preparedness, and general administrative tasks.
Qualifications
· Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
· 2 – 4 years’ experience in facilities coordination, accounts payable, or office administration.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software preferred.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
This is a full-time, on-site role with occasional evening and weekend hours.

Compensation
· Salary range for this position is $50,000 – $55,000 annually, based on relevant experience. Compensation also includes medical and dental insurance, life, AD&D and LTD Insurance, a 401(k)-retirement plan and paid time off.
