Scheck Hillel Community School located in sunny south east Florida seeks an enthusiastic and active individual to teach physical education in our High School for the 2024-2025 school year.
Our PE curriculum specifically aims to teach students to take ownership of their own physical health by creating healthy habits early in life. At Scheck Hillel, teachers not only educate students but assist students to become self-reliant and productive individuals who value independence and individuality; finding joy and self-worth through achievement.
Responsibilities include: Properly delivering our PE curriculum and methodology, regularly practicing exercises and games outside and in the gym, supervise the students to ensure the safety and well being during class, and implement effective classroom behavior management in accordance with Scheck Hillel's philosophy.
Qualified applicants must have a bachelors degree in a related field, experience teaching physical education to high school aged students, knowledge of appropriate exercising techniques and the proper usage of fitness equipment, friendly and confident demeanor and ability to work patiently with students, and co-workers. Must also be knowledgeable in teaching Physical Education from a virtual setting. Familiarity with Florida Physical Education standards and educator certification a plus. Ability to coach after school sports preferred.
