Overview
Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented full-time Clinic Secretary to join our Mt Vernon Family Mental Health Clinic. Under the general supervision of the Office Manager, the Clinic Secretary will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position offers a salary of $38,000 per year.
Responsibilities
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Organizing and maintaining patient charts, including processing intake paperwork for new clients.
- P roviding secretarial services, including typing and document preparation.
- Scheduling appointments and meetings as well as preparing necessary materials.
- Handling requests for chart copies.
- Efficiently navigating our electronic health record system for scheduling and charting.
Requirements
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or GED and at least four years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s Degree in a relevant field plus two years’ experience, or have graduated from an approved secretarial or business school plus two years’ experience, or any satisfactory equivalent combination of the aforementioned training and experience.
- Availability to provide evening coverage.
- Excellent customer Service Skills.
- Proficiency in data entry and experience with electronic medical record system or a strong ability to quickly learn and process these systems.
- Familiarity with administrative settings in mental health or healthcare environments
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing policies, including experience with Epace Medicaid eligibility system.
