The Job: Do you enjoy hands-on tasks such as painting, repairing, and general maintenance? Are you familiar with HVAC troubleshooting and wiring diagrams? If so, come join our fun, motivating team! You will be a key team player in the Facilities Department handling routine building maintenance tasks in areas such as plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

Benefits exceptions apply, based on # hours worked per week
The Core Duties:
- Perform a variety of preventative maintenance, building and property repair and improvement projects
- Perform a variety of facilities requests, including picture hanging, furniture assembly, etc.
- Under general supervision, perform journey level work in the painting, finishing, and maintaining of a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures
- Follow established practices regarding handling and disposal of hazardous materials
- Operate and maintain all utilities systems, generators, and equipment in the facility
- Complete operating logs, reports, and records required by federal, state, and local agencies as well as those requested by the OFJCC
The Essentials:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 year of trade school or 2 years of related experience in a similar institution
- Ability to deal with frequent interruptions
- Ability to identify safety hazards and act accordingly
- Ability to complete task to the highest standards possible
- Ability and desire to work independently and as a team member with the community and other employees
- Ability to communicate in English effectively (written and oral)
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Strong organizational skills
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
- Ability to use working knowledge of working environment to meet established goals and objectives
- Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about working in a non-profit environment
- HVAC experience preferred
- EPA Certified
- Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams and troubleshooting
