The JCC Denver is actively seeking a Sales Manager to join our team. The Sales Manager will be responsible for directly interfacing with customers and cultivating External Business Development to drive the JCC’s membership programs.
Role And Responsibilities
- Ability to work regularly scheduled hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Provides excellent customer service in an energetic, enthusiastic, and professional manner.
- Provides facility tours to prospective members/sales presentations.
- Handle telephone solicitation, prospecting, and other follow-ups as needed.
- Generates and develops membership prospects by setting up tables in the lobby and fitness area, attending events, and conducting external business development.
- Conducts External Business Development (EBD) by actively seeking opportunities within the greater Denver area to develop and cultivate professional relationships in creative ways.
- Manages corporate fitness programs.
- Complete paperwork and onboarding/orientation for new members.
- Assist in the development of, and execute, member retention program.
- Assist with the development of promotional materials to generate prospects, member introductory packet.
- Attend all scheduled training and meetings as required.
- Ensure the desk and surrounding area is safe, clean, and orderly.
- Tactfully able to communicate and enforce rules with participants.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Communicates regularly with the Senior Human Resources Generalist about departmental issues

Basic Qualifications
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding organizational ability and attention to detail
- Familiar with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint – Strong computer aptitude a must
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest and desire to learn and grow knowledge in Human Resources field is highly preferred
- Familiarity with information management or HRIS systems
- Experience with data entry and a high attention to detail
- Ability to work in a detail-oriented, multi-task environment, meeting deadlines and setting priorities under pressure
Physical/Mental Requirements (ADA Compliance)
- Mental requirements include, but are not limited to, the ability to concentrate, take initiative, cope with stress, maintain the highest degree of confidentiality, adapt to and stay alert in a business environment
- Ability to remain in the sitting position for prolonged hours
- In order to perform the essential duties of the job, the employee must be able to speak, hear, see and walk up to 1 mile each day
- Repeated standing and occasional sitting on the floor during the day
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Working conditions may include being in an open (shared) cubical or workspace area

There are additional voluntary benefit plans available. The JCC has a 401(K) Plan available for elective deferral contributions for employees over 21 years of age, with no waiting period. Paid Time Off is a day-one benefit, accrued based on years of service and in compliance with the Colorado Healthy Families & Workplaces Act.

The JCC contributes a portion of medical, dental, and vision plan premiums. The JCC proudly pays for 100% of Basic Life Insurance, AD&D, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability coverage for benefits eligible employees. We also provide additional voluntary benefit plans.
The JCC has a 401(K) Plan available for elective deferral contributions for employees over 21 years of age with no waiting period. The JCC matches 50% of employee contributions, up to 3%, on a 5-year vesting schedule.
Paid Time Off is a day-one benefit, accrued based on years of service and in compliance with Colorado Health Families & Workplaces Act. First-year, benefits-eligible employees may accrue up to 120 hours of Paid Time Off in their first year of service. The JCC also provides paid-holidays and benefits-eligible employees are awarded up to 4 additional “Floating Holidays” per year, prorated based on date of hire.
