Job Summary
To assist Early Childhood Director to ensure that all programs implemented through the early childhood department are providing a quality, developmentally appropriate, safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Establish and maintain effective communication with parents, staff and coworkers within the Center and ensure that the goals of all early childhood programs are aligned with the mission of the Center.

What You’ll Do
Program Responsibilities
- Ensure the adherence to developmentally appropriate curriculum, environment and interactions with children and parents by all early childhood staff. Oversee to offsite program.
- Manages all aspect of building maintenance and oversite for safety, repairs and security
- Ensure adherence to administrative guidelines and procedures for licensing agencies and funding sources
- Establish and ensure professional effective communication with parents, potential members and staff. Conference with parents, as needed, regarding their child’s progress. Provide resources for support services when necessary
- Supervise the ordering and inventory of department supplies
- Train and supervise Early Childhood Staff for Daycare, PreK for All, PreK 3, and Extended Activity programs. Ensure all staff have submitted required documentation
- Prepare for and attend weekly early childhood staff meetings
Agency Responsibilities:
- Attend committee meetings and agency events which may occur on weekends and/or evenings
- Assess needs and coordinate ongoing Professional Staff Development with Early Childhood director
- Maintain all records, files and paperwork.
- Maintain and respect confidentiality of child, parent, staff and other center issues
- Assist in planning Center and School wide events
- Attends biweekly program staff meetings, in-service training and on and offsite professional development workshops, as determined by Early Childhood Director
- Keep Director informed of all extra ordinary incidents relating to accidents, concerns about child’s welfare or circumstances
- Appropriately represent the Center in all forums.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s Degree in Early Childhood/ Special Education
- Possess permanent NYS Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Birth to Grade 2 or Students with Disabilities Birth to Grade 2
- One year of Supervisory/Administrative Experience in a Child Care Setting preferred
- Fingerprint and Security Clearance
- Mandated Professional Development/Certificates
SALARY
$86,500- $92,820 Annually
