Summary: Our Los Angeles office is looking for our next Director who will be focused on major donor acquisition. This Director will be charged with significantly growing financial support for AIPAC and pro-Israel candidates by identifying new prospects in Silicon Valley and developing/implementing strategies to convert them into donors.
Key Responsibilities
The Acquisition Director will be measured against effective execution of the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Create and execute a development plan aimed at identifying new donor prospects, increasing support for pro-Israel political candidates and growing AIPAC’s revenue through high level successful solicitations
- Provide timely political and policy updates that inform and inspire people to become more involved in pro-Israel politics and AIPAC
- Utilize existing leadership to host parlor meetings and identify and engage prospects
- Work closely with our DC based Research team to identify high level donor prospects
- Maintain and update Salesforce CRM to ensure the most accurate and timely information is logged including individual activities/communications, and meetings.
- Build and sustain strong, personal relationships with relevant high-level donors and inspire them to increase their investment in our work to strengthen the U.S.-Israel relationship.
- Meet acquisition goals for pro-Israel politics and AIPAC
Qualifications/Skills:
- Passion for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship, as well as knowledge of issues related to Israel, the Middle East and American politics
- A minimum of 5 years experience in political fundraising/sales/development or a related field with a successful track record of achieving and exceeding goals.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or commensurate experience
- A proven track record in sales, client relations, political fundraising, or another field that showcases your ability to build strong relationships, close deals, and grow revenue.
- Self-motivated, highly driven and able to work independently, in addition to working with your colleagues to meet goals and objectives
- Exceptional people skills and the ability to form close, personal relationships with current and prospective AIPAC members.
- Work efficiently under pressure; meet deadlines; demonstrate strategic thinking and good decision-making, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit.
- An understanding and appreciation for AIPAC’s bipartisan, single-issue approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM, Outreach.io or other similar tools is a plus
