Description

The J is hiring energetic Coaches for the Summer Soccer camps. Our Coaches oversee all aspects of the youth soccer camp, which can include serving as a customer service point-of-contact, coach, or referee. The J’s soccer program emphasizes skill development, fun, safety and convenience, and teaches the value of good sportsmanship. Experience as a coach/player/referee is preferred, but not mandatory.

Schedule

July Jam Soccer Camp (1st-4th)

June 30-July 3*(M-Th), 9:15-11:45 am

Next Level Soccer Camp (3rd-7th Grade)

July 14-18, 9:15-11:45 am

Fall Kick-Off Soccer Camp (1st-4th Grade)

Aug 4-8, 9:15-11:45 am

Pay: $22-25.00 per hour depending on experience

Essential Functions

Run and implement soccer camps ranging from skill work to small-sided scrimmages for ages 6-12
Coach age/skill level- appropriate soccer drills and games during the camps
Will be required to be capable of implementing curriculum on their own with no supervision
Foster an encouraging and positive environment for young athletes
Demonstrate professionalism and responsibility when interacting with players and families
Supervise children ages 6 to 12 years old

Requirements

Experience working with children preferred
Experience as a coach/referee/player is preferred
Knowledge of soccer and its rules
Able to work a flexible schedule
Must have reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

Constant standing, walking and exposure to the weather outdoors
Frequent walking/running, eye/hand/foot coordination, talking and hearing to demonstrate and execute skills
Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. to move equipment as needed
