This Role Is On Call. Key Responsibilities
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.
- Assess student health concerns and determine appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation for each student.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding health issues, medications, and treatments.
- Collaborate with school administrators and staff to promote a healthy school environment.
- Ensure compliance with school health policies and state regulations.
Respond To Health-related Emergencies During On-call Shifts. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or an equivalent experience.
- Current registered nurse (RN) licensure in Florida.
- Experience in pediatric nursing or school health preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in critical situations.
Knowledge of state and federal health regulations as they pertain to school health. Working Conditions:
- This is an on-call position requiring flexibility in availability during school hours and occasional after-hours.
