Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI), a vibrant and inclusive Reform synagogue community in Boca Raton, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team. This full-time position plays a key role in telling the CBI story, promoting events and initiatives, and fostering engagement through compelling content and strategic communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and execute engaging email marketing and social media campaigns.
- Create and edit content for digital and print platforms to support communications, development, and membership initiatives.
- Track and analyze campaign performance across digital channels to optimize strategy.
- Design marketing materials including flyers, brochures, and graphics using Canva.
- Coordinate production of print marketing and promotional materials.
- Manage a year-round communications calendar and ensure timely execution of deliverables.
- Maintain and update CBI’s website, including event pages and calendar management.
- Oversee digital asset management including photo and video libraries and mailing lists.
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and communications materials.
- Support donor communications, including newsletters and appeal campaigns.
- Collaborate on development of the synagogue’s semi-annual magazine.
- Assist membership and religious school teams with targeted campaigns and outreach.
- Attend and support community events, including select evenings and weekends.
Core Competencies:
- Proficiency in Canva, social media platforms, and email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact).
- Experience with website management (WordPress or similar CMS preferred).
- Experience working with project management software and tools such as Monday or Basecamp.
- Experience with ShulCloud is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively and independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
- Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
- Graphic design skills a plus
- Familiarity with Judaism and Jewish worship practices is helpful in the role
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in project management, communications, or marketing role (internship experience considered).
Work Schedule & Location
- Full-time, in-office role based in Boca Raton, FL.
- Core hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours required for events and programs.
- This role is non-exempt and qualifies for overtime pay when applicable.
