Salary Range: $58,000-$62,000 Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Position Overview
The Development and Events Manager plays a key leadership role in advancing the mission of the Bryan ISD Education Foundation, overseeing all aspects of fundraising events, donor engagement, grant coordination, and volunteer management.
This position supervises the Friends of the Foundation volunteer team and works directly with the Foundation staff and board of directors to plan, execute, and evaluate fundraising initiatives while cultivating meaningful relationships with donors, sponsors, and community members
Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Leadership
- Supervise and support the Friends of the Foundation volunteer team for each event and initiative.
- Build relationships with sponsors and donors, facilitating sponsorships and associated benefits.
- Provide leadership and direction in event strategy and donor engagement initiatives. Events and Fundraising
- Manage all aspects of fundraising events, including timelines, budgets, marketing, logistics, and fundraising goals.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with venues and vendors to meet quality expectations.
- Ensure accurate event data collection: income, expenses, donor records, ticketing, and contacts
- ? Evaluate and recommend improvements for event tracking and payment systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams to design event branding, marketing materials, outreach efforts, and PR strategies.
Integrate mission-based messaging into all events in coordination with executive leadership.
- Conduct comprehensive post-event evaluations, including financial reconciliation and participant feedback. Grants and Donor Relations
- Oversee donor stewardship, communication, and appreciation strategies.
- Develop initiatives to grow and diversify the donor base.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on identifying and applying for local and regional grants. Volunteer Recruitment and Community Engagement
- Partner with the Executive Director to create and implement a volunteer recruitment plan. ? Organize and participate in community engagement activities and special events. ? Represent the organization at public events and speak on behalf of the Foundation when needed Required
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related nonprofit and/or development role preferred.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented, creative, resourceful, and comfortable working independently.
- Experience working with volunteers, committees, sponsors, and community stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High standards of professionalism and customer service.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and social media platforms.
- Experience with donor databases such as Network for Good, OneCause, and DonorDock is a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
