WHO WE ARE: A Conservative synagogue located in Olney, MD.
WHO YOU ARE: A creative, passionate teacher - you have experience working with youth either in or out of the classroom, knowledge of the traditions and values of Conservative Judaism, and enthusiasm for making a difference in the lives of Jewish children.
WHEN: Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
SALARY: Starting at $35 and hour, commensurate with previous experience.

Using a set of core Jewish values as its foundation, our program strives to impart religious character, ethical awareness, and a love of Judaism.
Responsibilities:
Teachers will create and execute engaging lessons, track student progress, communicate with parents and staff, and submit all administrative requirements in a timely manner.
Utilize the methods of experiential education to engage students both in and outside of the classroom.
Support students in forming their own Jewish identities and exploring aspects of Judaism.
Foster a warm and supportive learning community in the class setting.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
Experience teaching or working with children and/or teens.
Familiarity with Jewish traditions, holidays and t’filah.
Proficiency in reading and writing basic Hebrew.
Familiarity and comfort with Zoom for video conferencing/teaching virtually if needed.
Excellent communication skills.
