TITLE: Community Relations and Programming Associate
DEPARTMENT: Community Relations
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
FUNCTION: The Community Relations and Programming Associate plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Community Relations and Public Affairs in advancing the mission of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas. The role involves addressing antisemitism through various initiatives, government affairs, fostering interfaith and interethnic outreach, and program planning and execution.
As the Community Relations Associate, this position leads the planning, organization, and implementation of the Student to Student program - a peer education program that connects Jewish high school students with their non-Jewish peers to promote understanding and dialogue. This role requires liaising with educational institutions and organizations to coordinate presentations, as well as promoting and evaluating program impact.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Student-to-Student Program
- Lead planning and implementation of the Student to Student (STS) program, including oversight of the orientation/training session for participants.
- Network with school educators, administrators, and curriculum specialists in the greater Dallas area to bring STS to their schools.
- Work with Jewish student presenters and group leaders to schedule and coordinate presentations.
- Capture program impact, analyze survey data, and report findings.
- Represent the Dallas program at the national STS coordinators conference and work closely with the national Be the Narrative team for support.
- Community Relations & Education Advocacy
- Coordinate outreach and engagement with local K-12 schools and college campuses to support Jewish students, share resources, and address issues of antisemitism.
- Organize community relations programming for diverse audiences.
- Assist in coordinating relationships with elected officials and government offices.
- Advocate for public policy initiatives of concern to the Jewish community.
- Departmental Support
- Collaborate with internal teams on cross-departmental projects.
- Draft reports, policy briefs, presentations, op-eds, communications and meeting notes.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in community relations, public affairs, or a related field. Familiarity with the Jewish community and Israel-related issues is required. Experience working in public policy, educational spaces, or intergroup outreach is preferred.
Skills & competences:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to concurrently work on multiple projects.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and exercise sound judgment.
· Ability to maintain a non-partisan approach in diverse settings.
· Familiarity with challenges of antisemitism and educational spaces is strongly preferred.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X).
· Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
· Strong attention to detail.
ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION
Position Type: This is a full-time, exempt level position with some additional nights and weekends required.
Working Conditions:
Mental Demands: Effective communication, policy interpretation, emotional control under stress.
Physical Demands: Frequent walking, speaking, and listening; occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs); use of computers and office equipment.
