Increase brand awareness and build brand equity in addition to driving trial usage. You will be responsible for the majority of communications for the Agency. You will also participate in and contribute to the running of the J through your participation on the Executive Team.

The salary range is for this position is $100,000-$115,000 and is based upon experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans and forecasts to achieve agency objectives for increased membership, usage, and revenues.
- Develop and manage $1M of marketing operating budgets.
- Manage and direct departmental staff of five.
- Manage and direct the print shop staff through outside vendor relationship.
- Coordinate with other departments within the agency in developing marketing plans for programs and in producing program information and marketing pieces.
- Establish and maintain a consistent brand image throughout all lines of business, promotional materials, and events.
- Plan and oversee advertising, promotion, communications activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.Provide media with notices of upcoming events and or newsworthy items.
- Manage agency websites, online chat and social media to ensure accurate and timely content and messaging.
- Ensure effective control of marketing results by tracking efficiency and effectiveness of efforts; take corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
- Seek out and evaluate market research, adjust marketing plans to meet changing market strategy and communication conditions.
- Monitor competitor programs, services, sales, and marketing activities.
- Interact with the Board of Directors and other volunteer committees.
- Guide preparation of marketing activity reports and present to agency management and Board of Directors as required.
- Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluation of the department to develop, implement, and manage marketing programs.
- Represent agency at events where applicable.
- Coordinate communications to members, Jewish community, and St. Louis community through member publications, community updates, and public relations/media relations efforts.
- Work with Chief Philanthropy Officer on messaging and strategy for donor cultivation and stewardship campaigns and events.
- Respond to member feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Responsible for crisis management/communications when needed.
- Act as spokesperson for the agency with approval of the CEO/President as required.
- Manage all internal agency communications.
- Manage some external consultants and vendors for agency where applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business preferred with a minimum of seven-ten years of progressive experience across marketing and communications areas of focus.
- Demonstrated experience with marketing strategies and financial principles.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally or in written form with colleagues, internal, and external constituents.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent budgeting skills and an ability to maximize effectiveness of advertising spend across multiple business lines
- Familiarity with market research techniques and data to develop strategies to grow membership, program participation, affinity for the agency, etc.
- Proficient in digital marketing platforms, analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.), Salesforce, and design platforms (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite).
- Ability and desire to market complex programs and services in creative and interesting ways.
- Ability and desire to work in a team environment and effectively counsel non-marketing staff on appropriate marketing and branding techniques.
- Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
- Experience managing and directing staff.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day execution.
- Experience in nonprofit, mission-driven, or community-focused organizations with Board and Lay Committee interface preferred.
Salary:
$105,000 - $120,000
