About the Position:
The Director of Emerging Leaders is a strategic team player with a “can-do” attitude, charged with engaging and inspiring the next generation of Jewish leaders in our community. This exciting role offers the opportunity to build and lead a forward-thinking, philanthropy-focused space where emerging leaders can connect, grow, and develop as leaders, shaping the future of Jewish life in Broward County.
What you will be doing: (principal duties/responsibilities/tasks of the role, typical day):
- Oversee and implement a strategic engagement plan aimed at developing emerging leaders’ involvement, including leadership development, philanthropy, and volunteerism.
- Develop effective strategies to cultivate, steward, and sustain commitment to the Federation’s Annual Campaign.
- Build a comprehensive lay leadership structure for the Young Leadership Division (YLD) Board of Directors.
- Organize and manage the Horizons Leadership Program, empowering and developing current and future volunteer leaders.
- Drive significant growth in participation in JFNA’s National Young Leadership Cabinet.
- Create opportunities to strengthen connections between emerging leaders and the larger Federation Board and community.
- Lead the growth of our communities Emerging Leaders
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Areas of discipline: Jewish communal professional, management, event strategy, understanding of marketing and communications
- Fundraising experience is required
- Minimum of four to six years of experience in leadership roles at Jewish communal institutions
- Charismatic individual who will draw and engage emerging leaders in our community
- Futuristic thinker and executor who will continuously create the next level of achievement
- Driven and determined leader who creates momentum and positive energy
- Prior successes working in the young adult space is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media
- Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with and understanding of the Broward Jewish community and National Jewish community is a plus
- Work some evenings and weekends
- Requires some travel
The salary range for the role is $75,000 - $85,000 per year
