Administrative Assistant — Youth & Family Department

The Administrative Assistant is a key member of the Youth & Family team, working closely with the Director to help ensure smooth, organized, and joyful programming for our families and students.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Director with managing their schedule, including calendaring and scheduling meetings
Maintain student registration systems and database, enrolling new students and ensuring records are accurate and up to date
Handle general administrative and office tasks, including organizing materials, preparing supplies, and maintaining files
Provide on-site support during Religious School days and family programs, helping ensure events run smoothly and assisting staff as needed
Communicate with families, staff, and volunteers as directed, ensuring clear and timely information flow
Help coordinate logistics for school days and special events, including room setup and supply distribution
Order and maintain supplies
Assist with general synagogue administration as needed

Schedule & Hours:

Flexible schedule for total of 15-25 hours, including (during school year):
Tuesdays: 4:00 -6:15 PM
Sunday mornings: 8:45 AM – 12:30 PM
This is an in-person, part-time regular position.

Skills & Qualifications:

Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft, Excel, Canva, and database systems (training provided if needed)
Flexible, adaptable, and able to handle shifting needs throughout the day
A true team player who enjoys collaborating and supporting others
Warm, welcoming presence with a commitment to supporting children and families
Background in education or Jewish education is a plus

Pay Rate: $18-$21 an hour
