Job Summary
The J is seeking enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for working with children ages 3 months to 11 years and are committed to providing a safe and engaging environment for them.
The J's Kid Care has two great options for childcare while parents/guardians workout at The J. The Little J Kid Care offers engaging playtime and sensory opportunities for your younger children, ages 3 months up to 6 years. The Big J Kid Care is a more active area for kids ages 5 to 11 years. Here we introduce them to active play, group games, playground time, crafts, coloring, board games, and more!
Schedule
This position is
YEAR-LONG. We offer a flexible schedule and are looking for someone who can work during the week and
REQUIRED WEEKEND MORNING shifts:
- Monday - Saturday 8:15am – 12:30pm
- Monday - Thursday 3:45pm – 8:00pm
- Sunday 8am - 1:15pm
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Engage/Lead children in age-appropriate developmental, sensory, and active play fitness activities
- Follow all policies and programming outlines to ensure safe, age-appropriate activities for all children
- Greet children and parents, ensure proper check-in and check-out, and communicate appropriate information at check out
- Adhere to all staff guidelines during shift
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout department
- Maintain a positive work environment for staff, children, and parents
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Responsible for daily sterilization of toys, tables and areas of regular use
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk, talk and hear
- Use hands to climb or balance
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications
- Minimum Age: 16 years
- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS
- Must have 1+ years’ experience working with and caring for children
- Current CPR, AED and First Aid certification, or willing to obtain certification
- Flexible; Must have the ability to change work schedule as needed for the program
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
