A well-established synagogue is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant/Bookkeeper to support their financial operations. This role is approximately 25 hours per week with hybrid flexibility, requiring at least three days per week on-site. The position involves managing payroll, accounts receivable, quarterly reporting, and fixed assets for a faith-based, nonprofit organization
Key Responsibilities:
- Submit accounts receivable and process checks
- Manage payroll for 13 full-time and seasonal employees using ADP (WFN), as well as contract employees
- Review and reconcile quarterly financial reports
- Maintain and update fixed asset records
- Complete tax forms
- Support documentation for annual worker’s compensation audit
- Identify and correct fiscal year discrepancies

Bookkeeping, QuickBooks, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, ADP - Payroll
Qualifications:
- Experience with QuickBooks and nonprofit or faith-based financial operations
- High attention to detail with strong financial review skills
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work a minimum of 3 days/week on-site
- Interest in a long-term role
- Familiarity with ShulCloud or similar synagogue management systems is a plus
